WHAT IS MICROCEMENT?
Microcement is a seamless surface finish, which offers a unique alternative to tiles. It is applied continuously by hand-trowel, eliminating the need for joins or grout lines.
The cement-based finish is incredibly strong, durable and waterproof.
It can be applied to a wide range of substrates creating seamless floors, walls, bathrooms, wet rooms and worktops with a finished depth of 3-4mm.

Not all microcements are completely waterproof, the natural minerals in the mix make them very porous. The microcements are sealed to make them waterproof. Which means that if the sealer gets scratched or there isn’t sufficient coverage of it, then water can get to the microcement and stain it.
Thankfully, Cemher have developed a number of microcements that are 100% waterproof, even without sealers. These products have revolutionised the industry, making microcement a much more viable choice for DIYers and Professionals looking for extra reassurance. All our DIY, Bathroom, Wet Room, Worktop and Outdoor kits contain one of two waterproof products: MicroRock or Microne. Both products are 100% waterproof, MicroRock is the stronger of the two and the one that we recommend for Outdoor Surfaces and Swimming Pools. For DIY jobs, Bathrooms and Wet Rooms, Microne is best, thanks to its unlimited working time.
For microcements that do contain natural minerals, we offer only the highest performing sealers. With a minimum hardness similar to mid-range concrete, these sealers are incredibly strong and resistant to water damage and stains.
Microcement is durable, seamless and low-maintenance which makes it exceptionally easy to clean. Microcement surfaces can be cleaned with any pH neutral cleaning products.
Avoid cleaning microcement surfaces with aggressive or descaling products, such as those which contain chlorine, bleach and ammonia as they can damage the sealers.
All our microcements and sealers are certified non-slip for the specific purposes that we recommend them for. So, if you choose a Bathroom Kit or a Wet Room Kit from our company you can be confident that the combination of products has been certified for use on wet floors.
