Many cement-based systems, where mesh is included, encourage the mesh to be overlapped.
Microcement is different, because the microcement is so thin itself, overlapped mesh can leave a ridge that may ghost through in the final finish.
The only exception to this rule is into internal & external corners, particularly where there is a join. In this case, the strength benefits of doubling up the self-adhesive corner tape & fibreglass mesh is top priority.
The self-adhesive corner tape has been specifically designed to avoid ghosting through to the final finish, even when overlapped by the fibreglass mesh on floors & walls.
