Microcement can be seamlessly applied across integrated fittings like extractor fans and toilet flush plates, but it is important to do the prep right before you start.
To achieve the best result, it’s important to ensure that:
· You have completely eliminated any movement between the 2 surfaces
· The two surfaces are completely level and the join between is flushed out
· All surfaces to be microcemented are completely flat
If there was any movement between the 2 surfaces, you might see a crack along the join, so it is really important that movement has been eliminated.
And if there is a ridge between them, that will be visible in the final finish. So take care to get the surfaces completely level.
You may find it easier to use a colour matched silicone along the join between the 2 surfaces. Mapei do some great silicones that are coloured, here’s the link to their colour options: Mapei Colours
