Choosing the Best Surface for Interior Floors

For internal floors, the most straight forward surfaces to microcement on are:

• Concrete
• Sand & Cement Screed
• Self Leveller

You can also microcement on any of these surfaces with a little extra prep:

• Anhydrite Screed
• Tiles
• Floor Grade Tounge & Groove Plywood / OSB / MDF Boards
• Cement Board

If you have either of these, you’ll need to board over them before applying microcement:

• Suspended Timber Floor Boards
• Tile-On Boards
