Video Call: Pre-Site Visit
Video Call with our Technical Director in advance of the site visit. This will give you an opportunity to outline the project. And get direction on what to look out for during the site visit.
We’ll also send you a site visit checklist for you to follow during the site visit. This will help you to make sure that you are fully aware of all the prep, detailing and finishing that is required before you start. We will ask that you take pictures and videos so that we can get a clear idea of the job.
We always recommend that you visit the site at least 3 working of days before you start the job. This will give you an opportunity to make sure the client is ready for work to start. And for you to order the right materials in advance of the start date.
If its appropriate, we can do the Video Call with you whilst you’re on site, so we can discuss all these things in real time.
Video Call: Post-Site Visit
Video Call with our Technical Director and an estimator. During this call, we’ll review the site visit checklist and agree what materials that you’ll need to complete the job.
Following the call, we’ll send you an invoice for the materials that you’ll need for the full job, so that you can order in good time for the job.
We’ll also discuss any additional items and tools that you’ll need to complete the job to a good standard.
Video Call: Morning of Day 1
Exactly what you’ll do on Day 1 will vary depending on the job. Generally it will require, covering down, preparing surfaces and potentially priming the substrates.
We’ll talk through the full details with you so that you have a clear idea of how to tackle it. We’ll also send you some training videos that specifically show you how to apply the products that you’ll be using on the day.
Video Call: Morning of Day 2
Generally, on Day 2, you’ll be applying Base Coats. Again, we’ll have a call in the morning to review the previous days work and give you clear directions on the steps that you need to go through during Day 2.
We’ll also send you training videos so that you know exactly how to apply the base coats.
Full Day On Site: All Day 3 or 4 (depending on kit)
Generally on Day 3, you’ll be sanding back the Base Coats & applying Top Coats. To ensure you get a professional finish and to show you the techniques for sanding Base Coats and applying Top Coats first hand, our Technical Director will come to site and work with you for the full day.
This will give you a good chance to talk through the process and discuss any queries or concerns that you might have around the process so far. We’ll bring specialist tools, like floor sanding equipment, as appropriate to help get the job finished to a professional high standard & to give you the chance to train on them.
Video Call: Morning of Day 4 or 5 (depending on kit)
Once the surface has fully dried, you’ll be giving it a final sand and seal. We’ll join you by video call to discuss the best way to approach the final step in the process. We’ll send you videos to support this guidance too.
During this call, we’ll discuss the edge detailing and finishing work so that you have everything you need to complete your first microcement job to a high standard.
